Georgette is self-employed and suffered a loss of income due to the pandemic and illness. Angie is a lifelong Eastsider, as were her parents before her. One of Angie’s forefathers owned land in the area before it was even called the Eastside. Jerome moved to Jacksonville 50 years ago, after serving in the Vietnam War. Recent medical issues have left Jerome unable to complete necessary home repairs that he was accustomed to doing himself for decades. In this role, he leads all strategic initiatives to advance the non-profit’s mission to eliminate poverty and build generational wealth through resident-led revitalization in Jacksonville’s Historic Eastside. Williams joined the organization in 2021 as Vice President of Operations and Impact, following his service as a founding LIFT JAX Steering Committee and Board Member. He was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer and, most recently, served as Interim CEO. In addition to his role at LIFT JAX, Williams is an active community servant. He serves on the boards of Rethreaded, The Potter’s House International Ministries, Thrive Scholars and the Stanton Alumni Association. He chairs the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for the Urban Land Institute of North Florida and is a member of the Blue Zones steering committee. Williams is an alumnus of LifeWork Leadership, a 2023 recipient of the University of North Florida’s Alumni Achievement Award and was honored as a Jacksonville Business Journal 40 Under 40 in 2023. In this role, Ivy is responsible for managing the operational aspects of property acquisition, new home/building construction and renovations as it relates to the non-profit’s work in the Eastside community. Ivy is a Jacksonville native, currently residing OutEast with her partner and daughter. Her passion and skills compel her to be an advocate and active community member in her neighborhood. She serves in various volunteer roles and is one of the co-founders of Greenlining Jax Org, which serves previously redlined communities through an environmental lens. She also serves as Vice Chair of the Eastside Main Street Board. Prior to LIFT JAX, Ivy held the position of Park Planner and Designer for the City of Jacksonville Parks, Recreation and Community Services department. In her role, she planned, created and implemented innovative projects that improved the quality of local parks and the quality of life for all users. Through community engagement, Ivy ensured that the needs and desires of all stakeholders were heard and represented. Ivy is a proud alumnus of the University of Florida where she received her Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture, Magna Cum Laude.
